PhilHealth CARES Update



PhilHealth has released an update on its Customer Assistance, Relations and Empowerment Staff (CARES) Project aimed to hire more than 500 nurses who will provide personalized assistance to members across the country.

PhilHealth president and chief executive officer Dr. Eduardo Banzon in an advisory said 23,000 online applications were accepted from February 12-14, 2012.

He stated that PhilHealth regional offices were provided with the list of pre-qualified applicants per region. The final matrix, Banzon said, was transmitted on March 23. The Training of Trainors was conducted by the Human Resource Department in coordination with the PhilHealth CARES Project Team last March 20-22, 2012, while the ten-day Competency Training Program for the PhilHealth CARES will be conducted simultaneously in the regions from April 16-27, 2012. It was also announced that the deployment of trained PhilHealth CARES to accredited private hospitals (levels 3 and 4 only) and accredited government hospitals (levels 1 to 2) will start on May 2, 2012.

The PROs were provided with the list of pre-qualified applicants per regionbased on the selection criteria set by the Corporation and transmitted the finalmatrix with ranking of applicants last March 23, 2012.

The deployment of trained PhilHealth CARES will start on May 2, 2012.
